Giesecke & Devrient (G+D) is an international group headquartered on Prinzregentenstraße in Munich that today offers tailor-made security technologies in four main areas: payment, connectivity, identity and digital infrastructure.

The structural and organisational changes that accompanied the change in technology led G+D to critically question the functionality and operational necessity of the properties owned by the company with a total area of approximately 100,000 m². In this context, in 2015 combine provided G+D with real estate strategic advice, and greatly supported the company with its future orientation and location planning.

Location strategy "GDM Location 2018"

Based on a forward-looking needs and requirements analysis of the various organisational units, we carried out a comparison of different purchase and rental options for buildings outside the company premises with the utilisation potential of properties that are no longer necessary for operation.

On the basis of and in combination with sound cost-effectiveness assessments and functional potential analyses, various scenarios were developed and presented to the G+D committees for their decision. The result is today’s project development „DER bogen“ on the western part of the company premises, where approx. 42,000 m² of the highest quality, modern working environments are to be created by the end of 2023 to realise entirely new value creation potentials.
